Early Fall~ Photo Shoot...Someday...

Well, I would love to be in a magazine, or publish my own book that is one of my dreams some day... To have an amazing look book of my own, patterns to share, and lovely pictures to gaze upon. I don't know who to contact, or beg, but maybe just maybe someday.... A girl can dream can't she??

Ok, let me refrase this statement...I would love to be in Country Sampler Mag. I have been in Mercantile Gatherings, and yes I am greatful. I just think my tastes have changed as far as my style and how I decorate. The issue in the Merc, was a great one, I just wish I would have put more of my primitive works in it. I could go on and on, but I will stop now.

Friday Follies...Pumpkin Crazed!!!

It's hot here again, so I thought I would cool down and make a pumpkin dollie...I started sewing for my up and coming show in October, put on by The "Hidden Den" Primitives. They had a show in June and it was sucha hit they want to do one in the fall to...more on that soon....

Drysink update...

So it's been pretty stinkin' hot here, but I am a die hard when it comes to finishing something I really want done, so I sweated it out in my garage and here it is... pretty cool!!! Now the other thing is, the lamp, was $5 and ugly brass until I painted it with textured paint, then flat black....Love it!!! Now off to my cool sewing room to finish up and start some goods for my up coming fall show...details coming soon.

Monday Projects and Bargain of the Summer...

Ok, in my last post I mentioned I bought a dry sink for $15. So here it is... I am scraping it off and it looks as if someone painted over a red and black crackle finish. Not my cup of tea, would have been 10 years ago, but my taste has changed drastically. So I am thinking, a milk paint in dove grey?? Oh, and the knobs are going to be skinny shaker style. Pretty good bargain don't ya think??

Autumn Is Fast Upon Us....even though it's 90 today...

I just felt like posting about one of my favorite times of year. Fall, is wonderful, it's smells, colors, and sounds. My family and I would go to old engine show around Sept. and I can just remember all of the goodness of it. Just a little shout out to Fall!!!

Back from my trip, and I hit the jack pot including a dry sink for $15.00!!! I am working on it as we speak, along with all of my other goodes I purchased. I will get a picture up later today so you can see it all.

Well, it was a morning just like any other, when my husband decides to go fishing. Ok, so my MIL, decided to go antiquing... Well, did I hit the jackpot, for a monday morning no less...

A "by thy hands" Prim bathroom...in progress...

Well, this bathroom was a challenge and I am still not done. I still need an over the toilet storage unit, but, it has to be prim... and that is not easy to find. So I forsee myself making my own, or doctoring one up. I did the "Baths 5 cents" sign, and my sweet hubby made the mirror, I used pumpkin milk paint for the dry finish. Suprizingly, it washes and wipes off great!! I did the waynescot myself, a cheap way, by using 1 x 4s evenly spaced and then just painted it all out. The color on top is just plain antique white, (which I am going to do a fresh coat all over my house), it just gives a clean contrast to all the chipping paint I have around here:) I will try and get more pics soon, I am working on just the right medicine cabinet, so hopefully I will be done soon... Just thought you might get inspired.
